It's that time of the year,,,

That time of the year when flowers bloom, birds chirp, the air is warm and I have no idea how to dress. It's too cold for bare legs, short sleeved dresses and sandals. Too hot for wool pants and skirts and boots.
So, I am left with jeans and a few tops I keep using, while trying to catch up on laundry and ironing as fast as I can.

Since I have a bad eye infection and the doctor ordered to stay at home for a week, I did what every wise woman would do: turned t Pinterest for inpiration.

The first outfit is my absolute favourite. I don't own a suede jacket (unfortunately), and I'd substitute a brown leather bag for the black one, but I love the 70s feel.

As for the others... The good news is that I own enough clothes to copy most of them - sometimes not the exact colors, but the feel for sure.
The bad news is that it's almost always jeans, which after a while can become boring. We'll see what I come up with. I think I need more colorful accessories, since that's the only thing I can afford now...
White jeans look more refined for sure, as do black jeans, but they are definitely less spring-y. And I have a white pair of wide legs jeans that I have to put back into rotation...

That's all for now, but I would love some more spring inspiration.

Taking Stock

  After a long hiatus, I decided to start writing again... I don't expect anyone to really be reading, but I just love so much going through my old entries, it's a sort of treasured diary. The image above was taken on April 25th (bank holiday here), during our bike ride at the Aqueducts park in Rome. Such a beautiful day! So much has changed since last time I wrote here, I don't know where to start. So I start by taking stock! Making:  eggplant pesto. As requested by my girl, who loved it last summer. I stopped doing it during the winter, as eggplant were not so good, but husband found some nice ones and as I write they are in the oven. Drinking : water and more water. The sparkling one, thanks! Watching : videos (youtube and instagram) on home and food organizing, fitness, and, of course, makeup. Love Love Love Johnny Ross ! Reading : Minimalism , by Gwyneth Snow. BDIB - Arm Party!

  This is my second time participating in the Bloggers Do it better series.  This time, the theme is " Arm Party ". And I am glad Kristina had this idea, because it pushed me to take out and wear my bangles...  I wore this outfit - it's an exact repetition, so I didn't take pictures.  And here is the arm Party! I bought the six striped bangles during my trip to Corsica, 20 years ago. They are six like the letters that compose my name.The brown one is from a store in Buffalo. The thin one is even older, it's about 25 years old! A classmate gave me a bunch of them (it was the 80's and Madonna was just starting to get famous) and I somehow managed to keep this one through the years. Now I want to start wearing all the other bangles I have, too!
