Look what I just found!

Image
I was reading this week's Grazia, and I found a neat article containing four recipes inspired by four runway dresses. The author is a blogger, Anna Marconi, who blogs at Taste of Runway , both in Italian and English. Her blog is full of recipes inspired by fashion, such as the above black rice with scallops and brandy. I really think this is a genius idea!

A fantasy Valentine's day outfit

Valentine's fay! by chirico featuring a red t shirt Anna Field red t shirt , $30 / Blazer / Even&Odd Pochette - nero - Zalando.it , $34 / Les Néréides Oorbellen goudkleurig , $75 This is what I'd wear if I was going to a date with husband this Valentine's day. Unfortunately, he's working the night shift, and with my belly I wouldn't be able to fit in these jeans. But I love this outfit nonetheless: it's refined but not too elegant. And I seriously want those shoes. If you want more date looks, jump to Long Distance Loving for plenty of them!

I just hit 30 weeks, and I can't believe I am 3/4 of the way! Here's the outfit I wore on Saturday to run some errands: Sweater - Prénatal (hand me down from sister) Jeans - H&M mama Chelsea Boots - Geox Ear studs . Conbipel First time I am wearing this maternity sweater from my sister . it's comfortable and soft, and I like that it's not too loose on the back. And here's a picture of my belly! It's getting bigger by the day!!!!

Pin via Hi! Isn't the above storage solution awesome? I don't have this kind of closets at home, but if I had I'd definitely copy this. Plus, it seems so easy, just a rod and some Ikea pieces...  Our little girl's nursery is coming together, although we still need a mattress for the bed and she'll have to share her space with daddy's electric drum, at least for the beginning. I need to buy and paint some letters to put on her bed. Now for this weeks links: The proper way to apply skincare . I had it pretty much nailed it down, but it's a nice reminder. A funny read: 10 reasons why tiger moms are totally awesome (not what you'd expect!) And an old post from a new favorite (how didn't I see this blog before!): 6 budgeting tips for curators . Happy reading!

Armani Privé

Image
These are some images from the Armani Privé collection presented at the Paris Haute Couture fashion shows I saved on my computer. I couldn't help being amazed by all this beauty. Love all of it: the textures, the color (especially the blue), the head wrapping scarfs, big earrings, natural makeup. It's all very classic but novel. Image source

Review time!

These are makeup products I have bought lately, mainly to substitute stuff I had finished or had expired. I was very happy with some of them, and very bummed with others. Let's see... The good: Pupa Vamp! Stilo Liner I needed an "easy" liquid liner, and I found it! It's unfussy, goes on well and has a decent staying power. The only negative thing is that sometimes I have to trace the line again over the first line, as if the line wasn't filled enough at the first try (hope I make sense). Overall, a good product, and I paid about 11€ for it, which is not too much here. Maybelline Volum'Express Mascara The Classic. I bought it out of frustration after thrying the NYC one (see below). It's a good one, it does its job, and I found a two-for-one deal. It's not going to change my life, but it's a great basic mascara. Now for the bad: Maybelline Baby Lips It's pretty, and I really wanted to like it, especially b

Pin via I am starting my (short) list of lovely links with this look . I love everything she is wearing! The non structured sweater with neon piping, skinny jeans, and especially the bag and shoes. I really can't wait to wear "normal" clothes again... Here are a couple of other links that really cought my attention this week - sorry two out of three are baby-related...: How to prevent winter dryness. I really have to try this. The chlorine in the swimming pool water is extremely drying, and I hope this can help somehow. A maternity capsule wardrobe ! I noticed my current wardrobe is composed more or less by these items, plus leggings and a couple of tunics. It really is the bare minimum a working pregnant woman needs. Raise healthy eaters is a website about - well - educating the little ones to a good nutrition and a good relationship with food. It contains recipes and suggestions, and it's definitely worth reading.
