Outift - new shirt, old jeans

Image
Shirt - Conbipel Jeans - Jane Norman Boots - Pepené Earrings - present  This is what has become an uniform for me these last weeks. With such a crappy weather, I have been wearing jeans very often, and tried to pair them with nice shirts or accessories. In this case, I had to pair them with boots too, because of the heavy rain! The shirt is one of my last buys from Conbipel. It's the only top I own which is drapey, and I kind of like it. I like that it's soft but still has a belt to define my (non-existant) waist. The jeans are from the Netherlands, bought during my visit in January. I really hope to be able to have more fun with clothes soon...

Summer?

As I open my inbox and read an email from Bon Appétit magazine with "warm weather drinks" on the subject line, I can't help but wander if summer is ever coming this year. We had a terrible spring, with rains almost every day in May and coold-ish temperatures (last Saturday I wore again my wool sweater), and it won't be improuving any time soon. The one above is a picture from my balcony, with grey sky and all. So much for sunny Italy... This weather is uninspiring under all aspects: I don't feel like dressing summery, don't feel like cooking fresh dishes, don't feel like going out... Hope it'll end soon!

A pink dress.

Dress - Conbipel Necklace - old Tights - Calzedonia Pumps - Geox This is slightly more fun than the latest outfit I published. It's a new dress, part of a mini shopping spree I went to celebrate a promotion at work - a long awaited promotion I should say! On the hanger it looked a bit sac-like, but I like the shape it takes when worn. I am not really sold on the shoes, I think their color contrasts too much with the dress color, but the weather still doesn't allow for open shoes, which I have in more suitable colors. Oh well... Now, back to storms and rain it is. I am so tired of this!

Monday outfit - bold & black

Shirt - Promod Pants - LiuJo Pumps - Geox Necklace - From Greece Sorry for the long hiatus... We were very busy at work, and the weather was not very cooperative: we had sunny, hot days turnign into colder, rainy days, and vice versa. I had no idea what the temperature would be like today, so I chose pants and a short-sleeve tee. It was ok, I guess, but nothing fun. Better than the jeans I have been sporting for most of last week! My favourite part of this outfit are my shoes: They look more orange in the first pic, but they actually are a nice cognac color. I hope to wear something more interesting in the next days... if the weather cohoperates!

Music moment

Went to see these guys on Friday. They were very young but really really good!

Travel diaries: Umbria (Todi and Spoleto)

Image
Last weekend was spent in the Verde Umbria (green Umbria), a central region of Italy. And you'll see a lot of green in the pictures. It really was beautiful. We visited two towns I had never been to: Todi and Spoleto. Both have a rich history. I was surprised to see Spoleto had many romans remains, including a real house which probably belonged to some rich family. And some roman architecture was incorporated into more recent buildings, with interesting results. Without further ado , let's look at the pictures! Todi: Spoleto: And my travel outfit: I usually take with me only some tees, but this time I packed a second pair of jeans and shoes, in case what I was wearing would get wet from the rain (luckily, this didn't happen). I am wearing lots of layers: a cardigan under the jacket, a T-shirt and a tank top. Temperatures were very unpredictable. And I am carrying a big bag to f
