Some outfits

Hi everybody!
Sorry for my absence... I have been pretty busy at work, and didn't have time to take many pictures - nor to post them.
It has been quite warm here lately, so I took my shirts out of storage.
Here are some recent outfits:

This was a simple outfit I wore, with a blazer, to run errands on a Saturday,. The necklace was bought in the H&M in Boston when I went to visit a friend. It's about 5 years old, but I still like it a lot. And this simple shirt was given me by my mom - she "donated" me a bunch of tops when I was jobless a couple of years ago (she figured I diddn't have much money for shopping...). I really like its fit. Shoes are a new entry, and I was trying how comfortable they are. Here is another picture:

This is an outfit I wore to work and then to play with the band. Too bad you can't see the red shoes: I'll take a picture next time I wear them. These jeans were bought in NY by my cousin. But she doesn't like how they fit her, so she gave it to me, together with another pair (I am realizing I am lucky with "donations"). La Dolce Vita is a shop I found in a nearby town. It has cute, inexpensive stuff. Here is the shirt without the cardi:


I am wearing this strong lipstick my sister gave me some time ago because it was a present she was not using (another donation!). It's a dark pink. I have worn it a lot lately, and find it to look better with casual outfits.

This is the most "girly" outfit of this series... It's not that I haven't been wearing skirts, it's just that I haven't taken pics of these outfits! I wore this to work and run errands in the afternoon. This skirt is very sweet, it reminds me of a tutu, and it looks nice with these shoes.

Taking Stock

  After a long hiatus, I decided to start writing again... I don't expect anyone to really be reading, but I just love so much going through my old entries, it's a sort of treasured diary. The image above was taken on April 25th (bank holiday here), during our bike ride at the Aqueducts park in Rome. Such a beautiful day! So much has changed since last time I wrote here, I don't know where to start. So I start by taking stock! Making:  eggplant pesto. As requested by my girl, who loved it last summer. I stopped doing it during the winter, as eggplant were not so good, but husband found some nice ones and as I write they are in the oven. Drinking : water and more water. The sparkling one, thanks! Watching : videos (youtube and instagram) on home and food organizing, fitness, and, of course, makeup. Love Love Love Johnny Ross ! Reading : Minimalism , by Gwyneth Snow. BDIB - Arm Party!

  This is my second time participating in the Bloggers Do it better series.  This time, the theme is " Arm Party ". And I am glad Kristina had this idea, because it pushed me to take out and wear my bangles...  I wore this outfit - it's an exact repetition, so I didn't take pictures.  And here is the arm Party! I bought the six striped bangles during my trip to Corsica, 20 years ago. They are six like the letters that compose my name.The brown one is from a store in Buffalo. The thin one is even older, it's about 25 years old! A classmate gave me a bunch of them (it was the 80's and Madonna was just starting to get famous) and I somehow managed to keep this one through the years. Now I want to start wearing all the other bangles I have, too!
