Friday outfit.

I had planned onwearing a skirt today, but when I am sick I don't really want to wear anything to fussy, so I just wore jeans.
This is the outfit I was going to wear 5 minutes before leaving:

Jacket - Koan
Shirt - Zara
Jeans - Aéropostale
Shoes - MNG
Necklace - Steph's mom

And then somehow I decided to change the jacket and wear my grey cardi instead. ProbablyI wasn't feeling too colorful... At least I had my necklace which contributed to add some color!
HAppy weekend everybody!

Small luxuries...

As I told you in my previous post, when I loved about staying in Germany with my friend was seeing the small luxuries she surrounded herself with. And I have decided to add some of these into my life too, as they can make staying/coming back home so much more pleasant and relaxing.
So I have devoted one line in my May budged to "Luxuries". If it works, I'll keep doing it for the next months. I have allowed myself 30€ for this so it's nothing bank-breaking, but it should be more than enough.

On my shopping list for May luxuries are this:

which is a room perfume - black vanilla (I adore this scent)

and this:

These are small scented bags for drawers.

If my flu goes away, I am going to look for the vanilla scent this weekend...

My outfit - Tuesday.

It's back to work day today, but I was feeling still very tired from the trip and the visiting of these last days...
Here is my outfit:

Shirt - Glenfield
Cardigan - Promod
Skirt - Klikx
Fishnet tights - Calzedonia
Shoes - Alésya
Necklace - really don't remember...
(Yes, I got a bit of a tan in Germany...)
I wanted a simple outfit, easy to change out of if needed at work, but cute. I like how it all came out. I bought this shirt with a suit a couple of years ago for an interview, which went very well - so I see it as a "lucky" garment. These shoes are comfy: after I got home, had to run to some office to make a payment, and I was able to walk fast for a couple of kilometers without any troubles. And the heel is pretty high too!

Back from Germany!

Hi! Is anyone there?
I got back from Germany on Sat night, and finally got around to publish some of my pictures...

We (my friends and I) visited the cities of Nuremberg, Bamberg and Munich, and had a wonderful relaxing time. My friend cooked for me every night, and I really loved this.

Here are some pics from Nuremberg:

Of course everything was Easter-themed!

The beautiful garden of Nuremberg Castle (The Kaiserhause).

Nuremberg sausages (and a potatoes salad too!)

A beautiful Gothic church.

This is me on a bridge in the cute town of Bamberg. It was so warm and sunny, I was really lucky!

A view from a bridge.

And a cloister we visited. I took this picture from the gardens of a Palace.

I am so happy I decided to spend some days there. Of course, as soon as I got back to Italy, a phone call from my boss made me angry... I'll have to deal with quite some things on Tuesday.

The thing I loved the most, is the way my friend lives. I remember she was like this when we were roommates in Brooklyn, too. She likes to surround herself with small luxuries: a nice scented candle, a nice touch around the house, lavender-scented bedsheets... Nothing too fancy or expensive, but things that add a nice touch to any house, and seem to make living more relaxing. I am planning on introducing some of this in my house too!

The weekend...

It's beautiful here during this season... The sea is at its bluest. It's not so blue during the summer. And it smells so good!
The weekend was spent taking loooong walks around - so long that my muscles ache! - spending time with friends and family - today we celebrated my sister's birthday - and eating ice creams. I was suggested a place located between my town and the nearby one, and it really is worth the walk!

My other weekend activity was packing my suitcase. I am leaving on Wednesday to Germany, where I am going to visit the girl who used to be my roommate back in Brooklyn. Can't wait to see her and spend time with her! Hope I'll come back with lots of pictures...

Some outfits

Hi everybody!
Sorry for my absence... I have been pretty busy at work, and didn't have time to take many pictures - nor to post them.
It has been quite warm here lately, so I took my shirts out of storage.
Here are some recent outfits:

Shirt . Oviesse
Necklace - H&M
Jeans - Killah
Shoes - Bata

This was a simple outfit I wore, with a blazer, to run errands on a Saturday,. The necklace was bought in the H&M in Boston when I went to visit a friend. It's about 5 years old, but I still like it a lot. And this simple shirt was given me by my mom - she "donated" me a bunch of tops when I was jobless a couple of years ago (she figured I diddn't have much money for shopping...). I really like its fit. Shoes are a new entry, and I was trying how comfortable they are. Here is another picture:

Shirt - La Dolce Vita
Cardigan - Lunatica
Jeans - Aéropostale
Necklace - Target
Shoes - Killah

This is an outfit I wore to work and then to play with the band. Too bad you can't see the red shoes: I'll take a picture next time I wear them. These jeans were bought in NY by my cousin. But she doesn't like how they fit her, so she gave it to me, together with another pair (I am realizing I am lucky with "donations"). La Dolce Vita is a shop I found in a nearby town. It has cute, inexpensive stuff. Here is the shirt without the cardi:

I am wearing this strong lipstick my sister gave me some time ago because it was a present she was not using (another donation!). It's a dark pink. I have worn it a lot lately, and find it to look better with casual outfits.

Another work outfit:

Sweater - La Dolce Vita
Keans - Aéropostale
Shoes - Killah
Necklace - Present from dad from Venice
Another buy from La Dolce Vita, and the other pair of jeans from my cousin.

And the last outfit:

Sweater - OVS
Skirt - Promod
Fishnets - Calzedonia
Shoes - Bata
Necklace - Steph's mom

This is the most "girly" outfit of this series... It's not that I haven't been wearing skirts, it's just that I haven't taken pics of these outfits! I wore this to work and run errands in the afternoon. This skirt is very sweet, it reminds me of a tutu, and it looks nice with these shoes.

Thursday love!

I am so tired, yet so happy another day of work is gone and the weekend is almost there...

Today I am grateful for:
  • Sun, and warm air and beach season coming closer and closer. I can't wait to go to the beach, I want to swim in the sea!
  • On the same note: the view from my balcony. I can see the blue sea and little boats.
  • A new, cute and needed pair of shoes.
  • My mom's birthday approaching! I want to make a nice dessert for Sunday lunch, and I am going to buy her present on Sat. I know what I'll get her.
  • Short sleeved tees. Finally!
  • A nice windowshopping session with a good friend.
  • Planning Saturday lunch.
  • Strawberries and whipped cream!
